Writing & Editing Services

I offer a variety of content and copywriting services for web or print. I have worked with clients to clean up current web sites, create content for new web sites, and writing brochures and newsletters.

Content Writing

  • I provide high quality engaging content for a variety of purposes:
    • Web pages, blog posts, articles, brochures, promotional materials

  • Let me create fun and interesting content for your newsletter. I enjoy writing them, and it frees you up for more important work

Press Releases

  • I create professional news-ready press releases to showcase accomplishments, publicize events, or just get your name out there
  • Not sure what you have to say? I can help generate potential story ideas

Telling your organization’s story by

  • Creating or revitalizing your organization’s Mission & Vision Statements
  • Telling your origin story, history, and current accomplishments
  • Profiling staff and volunteers
  • Sharing the success stories of the community you serve

Copy Editing/Proof Reading

  • A surface-level edit for spelling, grammar, and general flow of sentences, paragraphs, and work as a whole

Content or line editing

  • An edit of the writing at a deeper level, looking at voice, flow, narrative arc, scene setting, and dialogue. Provided for fiction and nonfiction works, from article to book-length

Beta Reader

  • This is a less thorough read-through of your work than a content edit
  • Helpful to get a general scene of your new work’s impression on a reader, noting what didn’t work, what did, and what needs to be tightened up

“Catie was incredibly professional to work with. Her keen eye, in-depth perspective, and passion were evident in the quality of the work she produced. She had a knack for knowing what I wanted to say and helping me say it. Because of her, my project is much more tightly woven and in the long run, her suggestions were key to helping me land my current publisher. I will be seeking her services again on future installment of my non-fiction series.”  ― Jeremy Flagg, author
